Manchester Orchestra announce live album of stripped-back London shows, share new video
"The city of London has been a close companion to Manchester Orchestra from the very beginning of the band. We spilled out of a tiny van nearly 20 years ago at legendary dives like The Barfly and The Water Rats and with each year, and each show since, the town has become a kind of canon in our lives. A way to compare past with present and past with further past."
"It was recorded across three nights in the fall of 2023, and it found the band's core duo of Andy Hull and Robert McDowell doing stripped-back renditions of songs from throughout Manchester Orchestra's catalog, 21 of which are on this LP. They recently released The Silence and now they've shared The Grocery (both originally from 2017's A Black Mile To The Surface), both of which are gorgeous renditions that come with gorgeous, black-and-white videos filmed in and around the historic London venue."
