"Funny enough, Rebel Kids was the first track written for this album and actually was completely put together probably 2 years ago ... or so. The sentiment, vibe and message of the song really became the catalyst for what came after. We all loved the song immediately but I couldn't have known it would be the first single. We have several songs that we feel could be first 'out of the gate.' But in the end 'Rebel Kids' made the most sense musically, lyrically etc. We look forward to releasing this song and album. It's a special one for us and we're hoping the rest of the world feels the same once they hear it!"
"Madball have a show in Brooklyn slated for May 22nd before hitting Mexico for a handful of gigs at the end of the month. After that, they'll hit Europe in June, with appearances at Montreal's Warped Tour stop and Louisville's Louder Than Life festival coming in August and September, respectively."

Madball announced their 10th studio album, Not Your Kingdom, scheduled for July 24 via Nuclear Blast Records. The band released the single “Rebel Kids” ahead of the album. The track is presented as a no-frills hardcore song with melodic, anthemic qualities. A simple music video shows the band performing onstage in a veterans’ hall. Vocalist Freddy Cricien said “Rebel Kids” was the first track written for the album and was completed about two years earlier, later becoming the catalyst for the rest of the material. He added that the song became the most fitting choice for the first single. The album is available for pre-order in multiple vinyl colors, and the band will tour starting in Brooklyn before dates in Mexico and Europe.
