Little Feat Announce 2026 "The Last Farewell Tour," Reveal "Feathers and a Smile"
"Little Feat have announced they are heading on the road for one last time with their 2026 "The Last Farewell Tour." Following a string of cruise gigs, co-founder Billy Payne (vocals, keyboards), Kenny Gradney (bass), and Sam Clayton (percussion) will head out on the road with longtime guitarist Fred Tackett and newer additions singer-guitarist Scott Sharrard and drummer Tony Leone. The tour kicks off on April 10th, 2026, in Orlando, stopping in cities including Knoxville, Austin, Kansas City, and more. See the full schedule below."
"In a press release, Little Feat noted that the tour is "not an absolute, never-gonna-play again statement. This wind-down will take several years to accomplish, and while it does, Feat will continue to perform and record as long as they are able. It's a retirement from the travel of touring.""
"To go along with the tour announcement, Little Feat have unveiled a new song, "Feathers and a Smile," written by late co-founding vocalist and guitarist Lowell George in 1970. Built around an unreleased portion of "Crazy Captain Gunboat Willie Suite," the new version features vocals from George's daughter, The Bird and the Bee member Inara George. Stream it below."
