Sam Rivers, co-founder and longtime bassist of Limp Bizkit, died at 48. The band announced his death on Instagram and did not disclose a cause. Rivers co-founded the band in 1994 with Fred Durst and John Otto and remained a member until his death. He played on all six studio albums, four of which achieved platinum or multi-platinum certification. The band described Rivers as the band's heartbeat and praised his talent, presence, and spirit.
