Laibach go pop, sort of, on new album 'MUSICK': watch "Allgorhythm" video
"Slovenian industrial icons Laibach have announced new album MUSICK which will be out May 1 via Mute. They say the title is in reference to the sheer amount of music that gets uploaded to streaming services every day (somewhere around 100,000 tracks), and the increasing amount of it that is AI slop. It's a duality: both "sick of music" and reflecting their "pathological devotion" to the band."
"With that Laibach have made their most pop album of their 40-years career, enlisting hitmaker Richard X (Annie, Kelis, Goldfrapp) as producer. Mind you, it's still Laibach so this is their version of pop that retains those signature martial melodies and Milan Fras' guttural baritone. You can get a taste of this shiny new Laibach on "Allgorhythm" which features Ghanaian singer Wiyaala. Watch the video below."

Laibach will release MUSICK on May 1 via Mute. The title references the sheer amount of music uploaded to streaming services daily (around 100,000 tracks) and the increasing presence of AI-produced material, embodying a duality of being both "sick of music" and demonstrating "pathological devotion" to the band. The record represents the most pop-oriented work in Laibach's 40-year career and was produced by Richard X, while retaining the band's signature martial melodies and Milan Fras' guttural baritone. The single "Allgorhythm" features Ghanaian singer Wiyaala. A European tour runs from May through October with multiple dates listed across cities and festivals.
