"I've been making music since I was a little girl, and every time I'm here I still feel like I have to pinch myself. I respect everybody in this room so much. I have to say thank you first to my partner, Michael. I love you so much. You are by my side every single day in a way that I can't thank you enough for. You worked so hard with me on this record all year. So, I love you and thank you."
"To Andrew Watt and to Cirkut-come closer! I never could have made this album without these guys. And Gesaffelstein, we are so, so grateful. I just want to say for women in music that I know sometimes when you're in the studio with a bunch of guys it can be hard. So I urge you to always listen to yourself, always fight for your ideas, fight for your songs, fight for yourself as a producer, make sure that you are heard loudly."
Lady Gaga won the 2026 Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album for Mayhem, beating nominees Justin Bieber (Swag), Miley Cyrus (Something Beautiful), Teddy Swims (I've Tried Everything but Therapy [Part 2]), and Sabrina Carpenter (Man's Best Friend). Gaga thanked her partner Michael and collaborators Andrew Watt, Cirkut, and Gesaffelstein, praising discipline, hard work, and craftsmanship. She urged women in music to listen to themselves and fight for their ideas, songs, and producer roles. This is Gaga's second Best Pop Vocal Album win, after The Fame Monster in 2011, and she held multiple additional nominations.
