KPop Demon Hunters Demo Asks 'What If Huntr/x Were Villains?'

"The singer/songwriter was part of an event where she and co-songwriter Mark Sonnenblick talked about the making of KPop Demon Hunters ' soundtrack and played a couple of demos for the audience. This included the Grammy-nominated "Golden" and the original "Your Idol" recording, which has some different lyrics than those heard in the film. Even if it only includes the first verse, it's really cool to hear Rumi's voice singing a song."

Ejae provides the singing voice for Rumi, the lead singer of the film's titular girl group. Demos exist for every song in the film with Ejae singing nearly every part. The demo for "Your Idol" presents different lyrics and an alternate take where Huntr/x become demons capturing hearts and minds, despite Rumi not performing it in the final film. Ejae and co-writer Mark Sonnenblick presented several demos, including Grammy-nominated "Golden" and the original "Your Idol" recording. The soundtrack's Deluxe Edition added mostly acapella and instrumental tracks. Ejae released a solo single, "In Another World," and appears to be preparing a solo debut.
