"The trek is split into two legs, with the first kicking off February 19th in Dallas and running through March 14th in Niagara Falls, Ontario. After about a month-long break, Shepherd will return to the road on April 10th in Miramar Beach, Florida, and remain on tour through May 9th in St. Louis. The itinerary notably includes two back-to-back Florida gigs with support from Eric Johnson (April 14th in Ft. Lauderdale, and April 15th in Jacksonville)."
"Shepherd will be performing Ledbetter Heights in its entirety on the run. Released in September 1995 when he was just 18 years old, the LP helped launch the guitar virtuoso's career as a modern blues rocker, and was certified gold within months and platinum by early 1996. "In a lot of ways, this is the album that gave me everything," Shepherd said in a press release. "Revisiting it put me back in touch with the wonder and excitement of those days. I didn't know what lay ahead. I just knew I loved playing the blues.""
"Ledbetter Heights was recorded while Shepherd was still in high school and features mostly originals (written or co-written by KWS) and interpretations of songs by Bukka White and Howlin' Wolf. Meanwhile, the album's title honors an historic neighborhood in Shepherd's hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana, paying tribute to local blues legend Huddie "Lead Belly" Ledbetter."
Kenny Wayne Shepherd will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ledbetter Heights with a 2026 North American tour that will present the debut album in its entirety. The trek is split into two legs, running February 19 to March 14 and April 10 to May 9, including two Florida dates with Eric Johnson. An artist presale begins October 1 using code KWS, with general sales October 3 via Ticketmaster. Ledbetter Heights was released in September 1995 when Shepherd was 18, featured originals and blues interpretations, and reached gold then platinum status. Longtime singer Noah Hunt will perform the Ledbetter Heights material on the tour.
