Kamala Harris Visits Jack White at Third Man Records
"she met with local musicians and songwriters for a chat in our HQ and she was so cool and inspiring to the staff and creators at TMR, and we hope we inspired her as well."
"which prompted her to say we need to send a photo to Bootsy Collins in that case of us next to the lathe!"
Former vice president Kamala Harris visited Third Man Records, the Nashville-based record store, pressing plant, and music venue owned and operated by Jack White. Harris met with local musicians and songwriters at the Third Man headquarters and engaged with staff and creators. White showed Harris the original Scully Lathe from King Records in Cincinnati, which Third Man uses to record live-to-acetate concerts; Harris suggested sending a photo to Bootsy Collins of them next to the lathe. Harris visited while on a book tour. Jack White was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The White Stripes.
