Anata is a new album by Joshua Chuquimia Crampton of Los Thuthanaka, arriving February 6 on Puro Fantasía. The album is dedicated to Anata, the Andean ceremony honoring Pachamama before the rainy season, giving thanks for harvest through offerings and practicing reciprocity (Ayni) between humans and nature. The production aims to evoke a ceremony or natural phenomenon captured with a phone camera. A release show in San Francisco on February 6 will include a screening of Amaru's Tongue: Daughter, a live performance, and an intertribal healing circle in collaboration with BAAITS and Sacramento Red Road Gathering. The tracklist includes songs such as "Chakana Head-Bang!", "Taqini (Juntxs)", and "Mallku Diablo Medicine".
