John Williams' Movie Scores Celebrated with Epic 3-Volume Collection

Sony Classical is releasing a three-volume anthology collecting John Williams's greatest film scores into a 75-disc set, with Vol. 1 (1969–1990) released now. Vol. 1 spans 22 discs and gathers music from the original Star Wars trilogy, Jaws, E.T., Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Superman, and 18 additional films. Vol. 2 will cover scores from 1991–2008, and Vol. 3 will feature scores from 2011–2022. The collection includes a forward by Steven Spielberg praising Williams's emotional power and cultural impact.
