"We are here to announce that we have come together one last time to resolve our differences, so that the legacy of Jane's Addiction will remain the work the four of us created together. We now look forward to the future as we embark on our separate musical and creative endeavors. Jane's Addiction will forever live in our hearts."
"I apologize to our patrons and my bandmates for losing my temper and for disrupting the [Boston] show. Jane's Addiction has been at the center of my life for decades."
"This past summer, Navarro, Avery, and Perkins filed a suit against Farrell seeking a minimum of $10 million in damages for assault and battery, emotional distress, negligence, and breach of contract, among other allegations. In turn, Farrell sued his ex-bandmates, citing assault and battery, bullying and harassment, and breach of contract, among other accusations."
Perry Farrell and the other members of Jane's Addiction settled mutual lawsuits, with both cases dismissed according to court documents filed December 22nd. The legal conflict followed a September 2024 Boston concert in which Farrell punched Dave Navarro onstage, Avery punched Farrell, and additional fighting occurred backstage, ending up as the band's final show. Navarro, Stephen Perkins, and Eric Avery had sued Farrell seeking at least $10 million for assault, emotional distress, negligence, and breach of contract. Farrell countersued alleging assault, bullying, harassment, and breach of contract. All parties apologized and said differences were resolved, but the band will remain broken up. Navarro, Avery, and Perkins are working on new music together.
