James Blake announces new LP 'Trying Times,' shares "Death of Love"
"After teasing it on tryingtimes.info, James Blake has announced his seventh LP. Trying Times, the follow-up to 2023's fantastic Playing Robots Into Heaven, is due out on March 13 via Good Boy Records. It features Dave and Monica Martin, and according to a press release, "it's a record about being in love whilst battling the limits of the self against a backdrop of global uncertainty." Trying Times is James Blake's seventh LP, due March 13 via Good Boy Records. The album features guest contributions from Dave and Monica Martin. The record centers on themes of being in love while confronting the limits of the self against a backdrop of global uncertainty. Blake shared the single 'Death Of Love', which samples Leonard Cohen's 'You Want It Darker', and he has performed the track live. A new performance video for the song was directed by Harrison Adair and features the London Welsh Men's Choir. The release includes twelve tracks, from 'Walk Out Music' to 'Just A Little Higher'.
