J. Balvin Claims He Almost Had a Heart Attack Because of Seven-Hour Concert
"Normally, we go through moments as artists where you want to do concerts for your ego, but in this case, I focused on giving the people a show,"
"At one point [of] the concert, I started to feel like I couldn't see anymore. I mean, you're in the middle of a 360 stage, and I was only seeing everything as black, and I was talking through the intercom."
During a seven-hour Medellín concert on November 29, J Balvin performed nearly 80 songs and continued until 3:00 a.m. local time. Guests included Daddy Yankee, Maluma, 50 Cent, DJ Snake, and Reykon. Midway through the show Balvin experienced vision loss, dizziness, coldness, and severe tachycardia; a doctor recorded his pulse at 190 beats per minute. He consumed six frozen desserts in an attempt to feel better, causing a spike in insulin levels. The concert marked the end of his 2025 tour activities, with his North American Rayo tour having run from March in Atlanta through May in Portland. Balvin is recovering.
