Iron & Wine Details New Album Hen's Teeth
"Iron & Wine will return next month with a new album, Hen's Teeth. Billed as a companion of sorts to 2024's Light Verse, the record compiles songs that Sam Beam recorded in the past few years with the Los Angeles studio owner and engineer Dave Way. Below, watch a couple go to war with a stubborn mason jar in Spencer Kelly's video for the single "In Your Ocean," and scroll down for a string of North American and Australasian tour dates announced last month."
"The album title, says Beam in a press release, "suggests the impossible. Hen's teeth do not exist. And that's what this record felt like: a gift that shouldn't be there but it is. An impossible thing but it's real." Fellow players on Hen's Teeth include one of Beam's daughters, Arden, as well as David Garza, Sebastian Steinberg, Tyler Chester, Griffin Goldsmith, Beth Goodfellow, Kyle Crane, and Paul Cartwright. The Americana trio I'm With Her also feature on a pair of songs."
