Gary 'Mani' Mounfield died at the age of 63 and was honored with a funeral at Manchester Cathedral. His coffin bore flowers reading "Mani" and was decorated with the classic artwork from The Stone Roses' first album. Bandmates and fellow musicians, including Ian Brown, John Squire, Alan Reni Wren, Andrew Innes, Liam Gallagher and Bobby Gillespie, helped carry the coffin. Hundreds of mourners, fans and public figures lined the cathedral and outside areas. A guard of scooter riders escorted the cortege while The Stone Roses' track "I Wanna Be Adored" played on speakers. David Beckham and Gary Neville were among those who attended.
