"The new song is called "XO," and it features the singer of Copycat "singing in their native tongue of French on a song about the way in which words always seem to fail when expressing the truest form of love to another person," to quote the band. As with "PR," "XO" is a song that I think Pat Flynn fans will find instantly satisfying."
"It's not miles away from Fiddlehead, but also a little more post-punky and maybe even catchier. Both songs will appear on the band's debut EP Public Relations, which is due this year on Convulse Records, and I can't wait to hear what else the EP has in store. Listen to "XO" below:"
How Much Art is a post-hardcore band featuring Pat Flynn (Fiddlehead/Have Heart) on vocals, Shawn Costa on drums, and current and former members of Gel and Downtalker. The band released its second single, "XO," following last year's single "PR." "XO" features the singer of Copycat singing in French on a song about the way words fail to express the truest form of love. The track blends post-hardcore and post-punk elements and carries melodic, catchy qualities similar to Fiddlehead. Both "XO" and "PR" will appear on the debut EP Public Relations, due this year on Convulse Records. The EP will collect both singles and include additional material from the group.
