Donald Trump will celebrate KISS's founding members at the Kennedy Center Honors, and guitarist Ace Frehley will be inducted posthumously. Frehley died after suffering injuries from a fall in his New Jersey home studio in October. A medical examiner determined he had a skull fracture, a subdural hematoma (brain bleed), and a stroke. Frehley was put on life support and died at age 74 on October 16. Gene Simmons attributed the incident to "bad decisions," saying Frehley refused advice to change his lifestyle and suggesting other issues may have contributed. A toxicology report has not yet been released. Frehley reported 18 years sober as of 2024.
