Gene Simmons and All of Kiss' Co-Founders Mourn Ace Frehley at Private Funeral Service
"Ace Frehley has now been laid to rest in Bronx, NY. It has been an emotional couple of days to say the least, saying farewell to a rock icon and long-time friend,"
"All of the services went as well as they could and were attended by a small group of family and close friends, including the 3 surviving original members of Kiss."
"That's something I feel, and many others feel, is deserved and should happen,"
"Ace was the eternal rock soldier. Long may his legacy live on!"
Ace Frehley died in Morristown, New Jersey, at age 74 on Oct. 16, with his representative attributing the death to a recent fall at his home. An intimate funeral in the Bronx brought together family, close friends, and KISS co-founders Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss. Eddie Trunk, a close friend and SiriusXM host, reflected on the emotional services and confirmed the surviving members' attendance, and announced plans for a future tribute show with the family's blessing. Band statements described Frehley as an essential, irreplaceable rock soldier and affirmed his permanent place in KISS's legacy.
