Fucked Up Announce 10-Part Zodiac Finale Beginning with New Album Year of the Goat
""We are excited to announce Grass Can Move Stones, the ten part finale to our twenty-year Zodiac album cycle," stated the band. "Join us over the next year as we release the Year of the Goat LP, the Year of the Monkey 2xLP, and the Year of the Rooster 2xLP in installments, one story spread over almost five hours of music, that dives back into the characters, narratives, and music from all our previous zodiac records, told by dozens of characters and special guests.""
"Now, Fucked Up are set to deliver the series' final entry, under the collective title Grass Can Move Stones, broken up into three albums ( Year of the Goat, Year of the Monkey, and Year of the Rooster), with a total of 10 parts made up of 10 vinyl sides of music: Goat (1 LP), Monkey (2 LP), Rooster (2 LP)."
Fucked Up announced Grass Can Move Stones as the ten-part finale to their twenty-year Zodiac album cycle. The Zodiac series centers on the Chinese zodiac and began with Year of the Dog in 2006, most recently reaching Year of the Horse in 2021. Grass Can Move Stones is broken into three albums — Year of the Goat (1 LP), Year of the Monkey (2 LP), and Year of the Rooster (2 LP) — totaling ten vinyl sides. Sides will be released almost monthly on Bandcamp, culminating with the final side in October 2026. The project spans almost five hours of music, revisits characters, narratives, and music from prior zodiac records, and features dozens of characters and special guests. Year of the Goat digital sides arrive October 3 and December 5, 2025, with the vinyl LP hitting stores December 12, 2025.
