Frustrated Axl Rose Angrily Throws Mic at Drum Kit in Argentina

Guns N' Roses opened a Buenos Aires show with "Welcome to the Jungle," during which Axl Rose became visibly upset and approached the drum riser. Rose kicked the bass drum and at one point threw his microphone into the drum kit. The singer ripped off his leather jacket and walked offstage, later telling the audience, "So, I'll just try and wing this!" It is unclear whether the incident stemmed from sound issues or dissatisfaction with new drummer Isaac Carpenter, who replaced longtime member Frank Ferrer earlier this year. The Latin American tour continues through November 8 in Mexico City.
