Ethan Browne was found unresponsive in his home on the morning of November 25, 2025, and has died; no cause of death has been disclosed and the family has requested privacy. Ethan was born in 1973 to Jackson Browne and model Phyllis Major and appeared on a Rolling Stone cover at six months old in his father's arms. Phyllis Major died by suicide in 1976, four months after marrying Jackson Browne. Ethan worked as a model, actor, and musician, appearing in Hackers (1995) and Raising Helen (2004), later founding a record label and releasing an album with Cat Colbert. He is survived by his father and his half-brother, Ryan.
