Dwarves' Blag Dahlia teams with Offspring's Dexter Holland for new Christmas song & 'Rudolph'-style video
"Blag Dahlia of punk veterans the Dwarves has released a Christmas EP under his lounge music alter-ego Ralph Champagne, Grinch. It includes a cover of "Mr. Grinch" with backing vocals from Petra Haden (that dog., The Decemberists), as well as the original song "Drinking Up Christmas" which is set to the tune of "Better Be Women" from Bad Santa and features guest vocals from The Offspring's Dexter Holland."
"That one comes with a music video inspired by the classic stop-motion Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer film, and the whole thing is exactly as irreverent as you'd hope a loungey Christmas record from Blag Dahlia would be. The artwork for Grinch is a parody of A Christmas Gift for You from Phil Spector (see above), and there's also a mini LP picture disc with a very festive photo of Blah Dahlia and you can pre-order that here and see a pic below."
