In 2024, Donald Glover was hospitalized after a Childish Gambino show in New Orleans and later diagnosed with a stroke. During his November 22 performance at Camp Flog Gnaw, he said he had severe head pain, limited vision, and still performed before calling off the next show in Houston and seeking hospital care. He also experienced a broken foot and a hole in his heart that required surgery. Glover canceled the remainder of his world tour supporting the 2024 album Bando Stone and the New World, which he described as his last under the Childish Gambino name.
