Deftones began their late-summer North American tour on August 22 in Vancouver, debuting three songs from Private Music: "my mind is a mountain," "infinite source," and "milk of the madonna." The band paid tribute to Brent Hinds and dedicated a performance of "Entombed" to him. The 20-song set opened with "Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)" and "My Own Summer (Shove It)," and included staples like "Digital Bath" and "Change (In the House of Flies)." Stephen Carpenter joined the Vancouver show, and the tour continues through September 17 with support from Phantogram and later IDLES, plus festival and headline dates.
