Death Grips are working on a new album. Writing and recording of the next album are underway, accompanied by studio photos posted on Instagram. The band has not released a new album since 2018's Year of the Snitch. Death Grips toured in 2023 and resurfaced in April to confirm that the band remains "active" after apparent internal uncertainty when Andy Morin privately suggested the project ended. Since the last album, Zach Hill launched a band called Undo K From Hot, reissued Hella's Hold Your Horse Is in 2023, and recently released Bag of Max Bag of Cass with Australian experimental musician Lucas Abela.
