Joe Fiorito expressed hope for his son's well-being and for the tour to continue. Dayglo Abortions formed in 1979, with Acton a founding member and Fiorito joining in 2015. The tour began July 17 in Houston and was scheduled through September 14 in Charleston; the arrest appears to have occurred between shows in Cleveland (Aug 29) and Dayton (Aug 30).

They were on a massive cross-county tour across the States, it was a big breakthrough for the band." Dayglo Abortions have been around since 1979, with Acton as one of its founding members. Fiorito joined the band in 2015.
