Olivia Rodrigo enlisted David Byrne to interpret her debut single 'drivers license' for its fifth anniversary. David Byrne recorded his rendition while touring in Atlanta and Miami with his ensemble of musicians, singers and dancers, and adjusted a few words to emphasize the song's universal feelings. The cover is issued on 7-inch vinyl with a B-side featuring the duo's live performance of 'Burning Down the House' from Governors Ball, with pre-orders on Rodrigo's website and a shipping date of April 3. A Target-exclusive vinyl includes the original album version and Rodrigo's live Governors Ball performance. Byrne's cover is the first in a series celebrating the album anniversary. Rodrigo also released recent live recordings from Lollapalooza with Weezer and her Glastonbury 2025 headlining set featuring collaborations with Robert Smith. David Byrne will begin a 2026 North American tour supporting his album Who Is the Sky? in late March.
