Corrosion of Conformity Announce New Album, Unveil "Gimme Some Moore" Feat. Al Jourgensen
""Our producer, Warren Riker, kept calling it Dark Side Of The Doom," recalls Pepper. "In my head, it's a weird love letter to all things rock 'n' roll. We used that for the freedom to go in different directions. Each album is its own tiny universe and has its own identity. Good God leans toward the heavier/pissed end of the spectrum. Baad Man is more on the throwdown rock scope. As we went along, it became clear which songs went on which album.""
""Corrosion of Conformity have announced a new double album titled Good God / Baad Man, out April 3rd via Nuclear Blast Records. The first preview of the double LP comes in the form of single "Gimme Some Moore," which features notable backing vocals from Ministry's Al Jourgensen. The track is a throwback to CoC's punk era in the '80s, barreling forward as Pepper Keenan delivers grizzled lead vocals.""
Good God / Baad Man will be released April 3 via Nuclear Blast Records. The lead single "Gimme Some Moore" features backing vocals from Al Jourgensen and channels Corrosion of Conformity's 1980s punk era with grizzled lead vocals. The album originated after drummer Reed Mullin's death and bassist Mike Dean's exit, leaving Keenan and Woody Weatherman to write material in Mississippi. The accumulated songs split into two distinct albums reflecting different directions: Good God leans heavier and angrier, while Baad Man emphasizes throwdown rock. The concept was framed as "Dark Side Of The Doom" to allow stylistic freedom. Stanton Moore and Bobby "Rock" Landgraf complete the rhythm section. The band intends to honor Reed Mullin's legacy.
