Cockroach sends Rosalia running out of interview in viral clip
"During a recent trip to Brazil, Rosalía was interviewed by the TV programme, Fantástico, in front of the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro. A clip of that interview has gone viral showing the singer being interrupted by a large cockroach, which can be seen flying repeatedly into shot. After noticing the insect, Rosalía jumps out of her chair before running away, towards the opposing statue behind her while screaming and laughing."
"As she reapproaches her seat, the cockroach rears itself again causing the singer to flee completely out of shot. Hola! reports the "Berghain" singer said: "I'm so scared of beetles." Among the reactions to the video, one person joked that the interview had been interrupted by Rosalía's ex, Rauw Alejandro. The two were together between 2019 and 2023, getting engaged in 2022. The musician was also previously in a relationship with actress Hunter Schafer."
Rosalía released Lux in November, receiving acclaim for blending pop and classical music. While visiting Brazil she was interviewed by Fantástico in front of the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro. A large cockroach repeatedly flew into the interview's frame, prompting Rosalía to jump from her chair, run toward the opposite statue while screaming and laughing, and then flee completely off camera when the insect reappeared. Hola! quoted her saying she is "so scared of beetles." Viewers reacted with jokes and praise for her authenticity, referencing exes Rauw Alejandro and Hunter Schafer and noting her upcoming Euphoria appearance.
