China Walker, a rapper from the duo Cam & China, passed away at the age of 32 after battling an aggressive form of ovarian cancer. She and her twin sister, Camara, began their music career while in high school and were part of the jerk crew Pink Dollaz. The duo was known for their confident lyrical style and made waves in the hip-hop scene, particularly with their song 'Run Up,' which featured prominently in Issa Rae's HBO shows. They gained popularity for their distinctive freestyles in the 2020s.
China attributed their convictions to being women in the male-dominated hip-hop landscape. "We tell our stories from deep inside—we don't sugar coat anything. That's just who we are."
Cam & China were known for their fun, aggressive, and confident flows and lyrics, having graduated to what critics termed as "next-level shit-talking" in their artistry.
