Cardi B denies touching security guard who is suing for assault but says she did curse at her
Briefly

Cardi B testified she never touched, scratched or spat at security guard Emani Ellis in the alleged February 24, 2018 incident outside a Beverly Hills obstetrician's office. Cardi B stated the encounter was a verbal incident while she was four months pregnant and visiting the fifth-floor obstetrician. She acknowledged going chest to chest in the hallway and calling the guard a "b-" because she believed Ellis was recording her with a cellphone. Under questioning by lawyer Ron Rosen, Cardi B denied using the N-word, denied taking a swing and denied spitting, insisting the confrontation did not become physical during the civil trial in an Alhambra court.
"She didn't hit me. I didn't hit her. There was no touching," Cardi B said in court. "So, to me, it wasn't no incident."
"Did you call her the N-word?" "No," the performer replied, noting that she considers herself "Afro-Caribbean."
"No," replied Cardi B, who insisted it was a "verbal fight. ... It did not get physical at all."
