Broken Social Scene announce new LP ft. Feist & more, tour w/ Metric & Stars: hear "Not Around Anymore"
""His production suits the chaos of our songwriting so well...he's got a childlike energy that is really contagious, when you get a piece of music that he loves, Oh my God, he's bouncing like a little boy," Charles Spearin says, adding, "There's a different kind of honesty in this record. We've had success, we've lost friends, we've lost parents, we're at this 'what happens next?' stage in life.""
""Remember the Humans is due out on May 8 via Arts & Crafts. It was produced by David Newfeld, who also worked with them on You Forgot It In People and their 2005 self-titled album.""
Remember the Humans will arrive May 8 via Arts & Crafts as Broken Social Scene's first new album since 2017's Hug of Thunder. David Newfeld produced the record, reuniting with the band after You Forgot It In People and their 2005 self-titled album. Contributions come from Feist, Lisa Lobsinger, and Hannah Georgas. The lead single is "Not Around Anymore," accompanied by a video, and the album reflects themes of honesty, loss, and life-stage questioning. A summer 2026 North American tour is planned, co-billed with Metric and featuring Stars as the opener; tickets go on sale February 6.
