Brazilian Pop Star Anitta Has Traveled the World-but Her Favorite Place to Be Is Back Home in Rio de Janeiro

She performed at the 2016 Olympic opening ceremony with Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil and later moved to the U.S. part-time to develop an international career. She accumulated over 35 million monthly Spotify listeners and became the first Brazilian artist to top Spotify's global chart with 'Envolver'. Touring aided her career but prompted attention to neglected emotional and physical well-being.
