Beak>'s Billy Fuller preps debut solo album: watch "Tailgates & Ratchet Straps" video
"'Tailgates & Ratchet Straps' is a tongue in cheek song about getting older, pessimism about the music industry and a pleading message of regret to Europe from this sad old island."
"Billy Fuller is a founding member of Beak> and has played bass in Massive Attack, Robert Plant's Sensational Space Shifters, Baxter Dury's band and more."
"The video was made by Portishead and Beak> collaborator John Minton, who recently made his directorial debut with Invada Films' first full-length feature film GAME."
Billy Fuller, a member of Beak> and bassist for various artists, is releasing his debut solo album, Fragments, on April 3 via Invada Records. The album includes the single 'Tailgates & Ratchet Straps,' which reflects on aging and the music industry. The music video for the single was directed by John Minton, who collaborated with Fuller on the soundtrack for his film GAME. Fuller has also scheduled solo performances in June across several cities, including Brighton and London.
