Bad Bunny Wins Album of the Year at 2026 Grammys
"Bad Bunny's Debí Tirar Más Fotos has won Album of the Year at the 2026 Grammys. The Puerto Rican artist beat out Justin Bieber's , Lady Gaga's , Kendrick Lamar's Clipse's Let God Sort Em Out, Leon Thomas' Mutt, Sabrina Carpenter Man's Best Friend, and Tyler, the Creator's Chromakopia. Harry Styles, who won the category in 2023, presented the award."
"The award clinches Bad Bunny's first win in the category, making him the first Latin artist in Grammys history to receive the honor. Debí Tirar Más Fotos is also the first Spanish-language album to take home the prize. He won in a year of stiff competition from other Academy favorites, none of whom has ever clinched Album of the Year."
"Gaga and Kendrick each had four prior solo nods in the category (the latter's contributions to Beyoncé's and 2018's Black Panther: The Album bring his total nominations in the category to seven). Bieber, meanwhile, had two prior nods and Carpenter and Bad Bunny had one apiece for their own records; Tyler, the Creator also had one nomination for his work on Frank Ocean's Channel Orange."
Debí Tirar Más Fotos won Album of the Year at the 2026 Grammys, marking the first time a Spanish-language album and a Latin artist have received the honor. Bad Bunny prevailed over nominees including Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, Clipse, Leon Thomas, Sabrina Carpenter, and Tyler, the Creator, with Harry Styles presenting the award. Gaga and Kendrick each entered with four prior solo Album of the Year nods, and Kendrick's contributions raise his total to seven nominations in the category. Bieber had two prior nods; Carpenter, Bad Bunny, and Tyler each had one prior nomination. Bad Bunny now has six Grammys and his first Big Four win; Beyoncé held last year’s trophy and leads all artists with 35 Grammys.
