At Country Star Kane Brown's Sprawling Tennessee Oasis, Even the Practical Decisions Skew Larger Than Life
"The country music stars' Tennessee home disappears from view down a long private drive, set on more than 26 wooded acres that back up to 500 more acres of forest. But then Kane starts talking about an unhatched dream for a "little neighborhood" of prefab houses for friends and family. Combine that thought with the pool house and the new bunk room, and the real story comes into focus: This woodsy retreat is designed to bring people in, not box them out."
"Kane calls it a compound, lightly, with a hint of sincerity. "I just put in a gas pump," he says. It sounds extravagant, but for Kane it's almost practical. He's collected several cars that run on E85, including a Mustang with a 10-gallon tank that only gets six miles to the gallon. But the closest gas station with flex fuel is 12 miles away. And so, in went the pump."
Katelyn and Kane Brown's Tennessee retreat sits on more than 26 wooded acres that back up to 500 acres of forest and is reached by a long private drive. The property prioritizes hospitality, with ideas for prefab guest houses, a pool house, and a constantly filling bunk room. A separate 11,400-square-foot barn contains a basketball court, rehearsal space large enough for tour buses, a gym with sauna, a video game room, a recording studio, and a glam room. The children are homeschooled in a designated schoolroom and enjoy a fully equipped outdoor playhouse. Practical touches include an on-site gas pump for E85 vehicles.
