Avey Tare and Geologist from Animal Collective have formed a new instrumental project called Croz Boyce, releasing their self-titled debut album on May 8 through Domino Records. The duo recorded remotely from their respective homes in Asheville, North Carolina and Washington, D.C. The lead single is "Hanging Out With a Blueberry Pop," featuring a music video directed by professional snorkeler Joseph Ricketts. Fellow Animal Collective member Deakin mixed the album. This project follows recent solo work from both musicians and the band's 2023 studio album.
