"The band's sixth album will actually be celebrated with two limited-edition formats due out October 17th via Domino. Feels 20th Anniversary is ( three LPs and two CDs alongside a digital copy) includes the full album and a nine-track collection of B-sides and unreleased demos. Meanwhile, FEELSLive 04/05 collects MiniDisc recordings from shows across 2004-2005, and will be available digitally, on cassette, and, you guessed it, MiniDisc."
"Feels is an interesting record for a few reasons. For one, it's the band's first as a foursome, with Josh "Deakin" Dibb and Brian "Geologist" Weitz joining up with Dave "Avey Tare" Portner and Noah "Panda Bear" Lennox. It also precedes the band's "rise" to fame with 2007's Strawberry Jam and 2009's Merriweather Post Pavilion (which earned a special 15th anniversary edition just last year)."
Animal Collective will issue a Feels 20th Anniversary release on October 17 via Domino in two limited-edition formats. The reissue package includes the full album across three LPs and two CDs plus a digital copy, and a nine-track collection of B-sides and unreleased demos. FEELSLive 04/05 compiles MiniDisc recordings from 2004–2005 and will be available on MiniDisc, cassette, and digitally. Feels marks the band's first album as a foursome with Deakin and Geologist joining Avey Tare and Panda Bear, and it predates the commercial rise that followed Strawberry Jam and Merriweather Post Pavilion. A rare demo of "Grass" has been shared ahead of the re-release.
