Angel Du$t Announce New Album, Drop Title Track "Cold 2 the Touch"
"Angel Du$t needs to incite movement - I'm not down with people chilling while we play, that's offensive to me-so having a genuine hardcore influence without making hardcore is important to the band. Melody is another huge ingredient, so is the authentic influence of bluesy, chromatic rock and roll constructs. So punk, hardcore, rock and roll - they're all just different flows of energy that we're trying to use."
""This is who I am," said Tripp, "and I speak for the band too: These are people who are always going to be playing aggressive rock and roll. It's happening whether you like it or not. I'm me, and if you get in my way I'm gonna crush you.""
Cold 2 the Touch is Angel Du$t's new album, arriving February 13 via Run for Cover Records as the band's debut on the label. The LP contains 11 songs totalling 26 minutes and follows 2023's BRAND NEW SOUL. The title track is a two-plus-minute, Motörhead-esque gallop and serves as the third single after "The Knife" and "The Beat." The record reunites the band with producer Brian McTernan, introduces new members Nick Lewis and Jim Carroll, and includes guest appearances from Frank Carter, Scott Vogel, Wes Eisold, Patrick Cozens, and Taylor Young. The band positions the album as an aggressive, movement-inciting statement blending punk, hardcore, and rock and roll energies.
