ChatGPT misrepresented that Soundslice could handle ASCII tab, creating user confusion. After discovering the misinformation, a decision was made to develop an ASCII tab importer and revise the user interface to inform users of the new feature. This response illustrates the impact of AI-generated content on product development, as a company introduced a feature in reaction to incorrect claims.
Our scanning system wasn't intended to support ASCII tab; however, a surge in users seeking this feature arose after ChatGPT incorrectly indicated support for it.
In response to the unexpected demand, we created a bespoke ASCII tab importer and modified the UI to inform users about this newly supported feature.
