"So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we'd call "indie," and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here's a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place."
"In the present moment, I can't help but assign new meaning to this song as I stand with Minneapolis and every single heartbroken city right now in America as we witness and collectively experience the grief and total outrage of the shockingly inhumane, cold blooded, fascist, racist, murderous oppression. And for every other heartbroken city experiencing war, starvation, and endless horror on this planet, my great hope is for the pendulum to swing in the exact opposite direction. And I know in my heart it is possible."
New albums and singles across genres are being released and spotlighted weekly and daily. Gay Meat (Karl Kuehn) releases his first full-length Blue Water on April 24 via Skeletal Lighting, with collaborators Jeff Rosenstock, Chris Farren, and Sarah Tudzin; the lead single "More Good Angels" is described as a soaring indie rock track. Morgan Nagler shares "Heartbreak City" ahead of her debut solo album I've Got Nothing to Lose, and I'm Losing It, framing the song as metaphorically tied to contemporary grief and outrage in Minneapolis and other suffering cities. Angel Du$t issues "Pain Is A Must" from Cold 2 The Touch. Mirah returns with Dedication, her first album in seven years.
