20 New Songs Out Today
"So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we'd call "indie," and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here's a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place."
"You already heard Dropkick Murphys' Haywire-featuring "Citizen I.C.E." from the New England punk bands' new split LP (which is only currently available at the merch table on their current tour), and now we get Haywire's Dropkick Murphys-featuring "New England Forever." It's a street punk anthem that's as gritty as it is catchy, and a great middle ground between these two great bands."
"I kept thinking about the line 'it's just sky,' which obviously meant we had to make a video in a hot air balloon. It took six canceled rides for that to happen, but we finally got up there. I wanted the video to reference the lyrics about mortality, but also about the freedom that comes with realizing fate is out of your hands."
A weekly roundup highlights new albums, indie tracks, metal releases, music news, premieres, and a weekly playlist of favorite tracks. Haywire and Dropkick Murphys collaborate on a gritty, catchy street punk anthem called "New England Forever," presented as a middle ground between both bands. "My Maker" served as a lyrical anchor for the Snail Mail record and inspired a hot air balloon video that references mortality and the freedom in accepting fate. Thrash band Exodus released a title track described as possibly their heaviest and slowest, approaching doom metal. Billy Fuller announced a debut solo album after extensive collaborative work.
