18 New Songs Out Today
"So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we'd call "indie," and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here's a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place."
"The Bronx have given us another early taste of the first new album in 12 years from their mariachi alter ego, Mariachi El Bronx IV. "'RIP Romeo' started with a melody that wouldn't leave my head," lead vocalist Matt Caughthran says. "I brought it to Ray [Suen, violin] and we knocked out a demo in an hour. We hadn't written together in years, but we fell right back into rhythm. It came alive when the rest of the band got their hands on it."
A weekly music roundup highlights new albums across genres, indie finds, metal releases, and daily track premieres, accompanied by an updated playlist of favorite tracks. Merce Lemon and Fust collaborated on George Jones covers, with Merce on "Cup of Loneliness" and Fust on "Choices." DIIV issued a live take on "Reflected" ahead of their concert film and live album Boiled Alive. Angel Du$t shared "DU$T," a track that moves from folky balladry into blast-beat intensity. Mariachi El Bronx previewed "RIP Romeo," a melody-driven song developed rapidly in collaboration with violinist Ray Suen.
