"So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we'd call "indie," and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here's a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place."
""Sometimes a song can feel like a purge," Emma Jansson says. "I really wanted to rid myself of every bad feeling and put it into something outside of my head. When making it, we had a completely different approach than we normally do. There's a drumbeat and a bass-line and about a dozen synthesizers and pianos. It doesn't really sound like anything else we've done before.""
New releases cover instrumental, indie, electronic, pop, and rock sounds with several singles and album announcements. Bill Orcutt released two hypnotic guitar tracks from his four-guitar project Music in Continuous Motion. Girl Scout offered "Keeper" ahead of a March debut LP, with Emma Jansson describing the song as a purge and noting heavier use of drums, bass, synthesizers, and pianos. Boys Noize issued a new single for Bandcamp Friday while touring with Nine Inch Nails. Jennie of Blackpink remixed Tame Impala's "Dracula" by adding vocals and new lyrics. Joseph Arthur announced a three-album arc beginning with "Faith" due April 2. Lady Lamb released a "Truth Teller" demo with Bandcamp Friday proceeds designated for medical evacuation assistance.
