"The Xiaomi 15 launched in China at the end of October last year. It then made its way to global markets in February when the Xiaomi 15 Ultra was also introduced. This year, however, things were quite different, with the 17 getting an earlier launch in September in China. That left us wondering whether the Xiaomi 17 Ultra would only arrive in February again."
"It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, and will have 100W wired charging support. It's rumored to get a new 50 MP main camera with improved in-sensor zoom, a new 200 MP telephoto macro camera, an ultrawide, and probably a short-range telephoto too. Screen-wise, expect specs very similar to the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max's display."
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be made official in China in December. The global release could occur at a later date. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and will support 100W wired charging. The camera array is expected to include a new 50 MP main sensor with improved in-sensor zoom, a 200 MP telephoto macro camera, an ultrawide module, and a probable short-range telephoto. The display specifications are expected to closely match the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. Previous Xiaomi flagship releases moved from China to global markets months later.
