Xiaomi 17 Ultra goes global with 200MP 75-100mm camera, Xiaomi 17 joins it with a 6,330mAh battery
"The Xiaomi 17 Ultra brings serious camera hardware. It is equipped with a 50MP 1"-type Light Fusion 1050L sensor with LOFIC HDR and other improvements. The 200MP telephoto camera (1/1.4" sensor) has a variable focal length lens that goes smoothly between 75mm and 100mm. It's joined by a 50MP 115° ultra-wide on the back."
"The 17 Ultra is thinner than its predecessor, measuring 8.3mm thick, down from 9.4mm. The phone has a larger 6.9" LTPO display (up from 6.73"). Although its resolution is technically lower (1,200 x 2,608px vs. 1,440 x 3,200px), note that this is a HyperRGB panel, which is what Xiaomi calls its displays that have the full RGB stripe."
"The new Ultra can record Dolby Vision and Log videos at up to 4K 120fps. Xiaomi will offer two camera grips for photography enthusiasts. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra Photography Kit has been stripped down and weighs just 48g. It has a customizable two-stage shutter button and a dedicated video-recording button."
The Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra, initially launched in China, are now expanding to global markets. The 17 Ultra features a 50MP 1-inch Light Fusion 1050L main sensor, a 200MP telephoto with variable 75-100mm focal length, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. It records Dolby Vision and Log video at 4K 120fps. The device measures 8.3mm thick with a larger 6.9-inch LTPO HyperRGB display and improved Xiaomi Shield Glass 3.0. Global models have reduced battery capacity compared to Chinese versions. The 17 Pro is excluded from global rollout. Xiaomi offers two photography kits: a lightweight 48g option with customizable controls and a Leica-inspired Pro version.
