Xiaomi 17 Max arrives with 200MP main cam and 8,000 mAh Si-C battery

Xiaomi 17 Max is positioned as a less flashy alternative to the 17 Pro Max, removing the secondary rear screen. It uses a 200MP main camera and includes an 8,000 mAh Si/C battery. Xiaomi claims over two days of normal use and up to 80% battery retention after 1,600 charging cycles, exceeding four years of daily use. Charging supports up to 100W wired and 50W wireless, plus up to 22.5W reverse wired charging. The phone runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. It features a 6.9-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, a 32MP selfie camera, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The rear camera system includes a 200MP HP9 main sensor with OIS, a 50MP 3x telephoto with macro capability, and a 50MP ultrawide. HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 is included, along with IP68 and IP69 ingress protection. It is available in black, white, and blue, with China pricing starting at CNY 4,799.
