Samsung has launched the Galaxy S25 series, including the S25+, S25 Ultra, and S25 Edge. For the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, there will only be three models: the 6.27-inch Galaxy S26, the 6.66-inch Galaxy S26 Edge, and the 6.89-inch Galaxy S26 Ultra. The removal of the S26+ is attributed to low sales. The S25 Edge, featuring a similar screen size to the S25+, is thinner but comes with compromises such as fewer cameras and a smaller battery. Users have limited options now between the Edge and the Ultra.
This year Samsung launched the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra in January and then the S25 Edge in May. Next year, the family will only have three members.
Next year, expect to see the 6.27-inch Galaxy S26, the 6.66-inch Galaxy S26 Edge, and the 6.89-inch Galaxy S26 Ultra. There won't be a Galaxy S26+.
The Galaxy S25 Edge has the same screen size as the S25+, but it's thinner with compromises arising from that - primarily one less camera and a far smaller battery.
Those who liked what the Plus had to offer and didn't need the extra bells and whistles of the Ultra will have flawed options: the Edge or the Ultra.
