The Honor Magic8 Pro will have a smaller battery in Europe, here's a look
"The Magic8 Pro is already available in China and locals enjoy a large 7,200mAh Si/C battery. However, the upcoming global variant will have a capacity of 7,100mAh instead. That is less than a 2% difference and is not something that you are likely to notice. But Europeans will notice this - the EU variant of the Magic8 Pro will only have a 6,270mAh battery."
"This is a drop of almost 12% and it will have a tangible impact on battery life. To be fair, 6,270mAh is still a fairly large battery as it is 1,000mAh more than the Magic7 Pro (EU version) had. The 2024 model achieved a respectable Active use score of 13:53h and the new one should easily beat that."
"That's not all either - the Chinese models have a higher wired charging rate of 120W compared to 100W for the global and EU models. There is no difference in wireless charging, 80W in both cases."
The Magic8 Pro uses different battery capacities across regions: China receives a 7,200mAh Si/C pack, the upcoming global model has 7,100mAh, and the EU model drops to 6,270mAh. The EU reduction represents nearly a 12% decrease compared with the Chinese unit and will have a tangible effect on battery life, though 6,270mAh still exceeds the previous Magic7 Pro EU capacity by about 1,000mAh. The 2024 Magic7 Pro reached an Active use score of 13:53, and the new EU model is expected to perform at least as well. Wired charging is 120W in China and 100W for global/EU units, while wireless charging remains 80W uniformly.
